The Maine Forestry Service (MFS) uses GRT technology regularly to improve and enhance their daily operations. Several examples include cataloging inspection notices, generating complaint tracking forms, performing field inspections, tracking of Federal Excess Fire Equipment, generating Wildfire Situational Reports, and conducting home assessments for community Wildland Urban Interface inspections. The Maine Forest service has collected over 30,000 field inspections.

Epicenter, aftershock, and intensity map layers were sourced from the USGS and post-processed by GRT staff so that they may be overlaid with the damage assessments in RDMS Collaborate.

Haiti Earthquake - January 2010

Civil Affairs and Engineering Units from United States Southern Command for the Government of Haiti used RDMS to collect Key Infrastructure damage assessments. Survey assessments of tent cities were also collected.
New England Brace Company and Healing Hands for Haiti collected amputee survey assessments with RDMS. Using RDMS technology, both groups were able to capture detailed medical surveys that contained unique identifying information and GPS coordinates so that follow-up care could be more easily provided.

In April, 2009 Maine experienced severe spring flooding as a result of unseasonable ice flow jams. Working in conjunction with the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), the Maine Forest Rangers, outfitted with RDMS for their day-to-day operations, helped to collect 160 flood damage assessments. This information was collected in real-time and transmitted back to MEMA headquarters for rapid analysis in RDMS Collaborate.
