Logistics Support System (LSS)

Logistics Support System is the central total asset visibility component of GRT's Rapid Data Management (RDMS) platform. Integrated with RDMS Collect™ and RDMS Communicate™, it’s an easy to learn and use, highly customized Web-based application that allows your personnel to collect, communicate, access, manage, analyze and share logistics information.

Supports critical logistics functions, including (1) monitoring the location of the highly mobile equipment, (2) tracking parts and the replenishment points for those parts, (3) reporting of operational readiness and trend analysis, (4) monitoring and oversight of field service activity, (5) automatic notifications when problems arise or changes occur and (6) tracking of parts' quantities as they move from in-storage to in-transit to in-use to in-repair.

RDMS Collect™ is fully integrated with RDMS Logistics, tasks from the Logistics Support System are dispatched to RDMS Collect users as pre-filled forms to complete or actions to perform that require a signature or additional data while on-site.

Status and Tracking - The system status and tracking capabilities of RDMS Logistics™ provide field workers and planners with the locations of assets, as well as insight into what’s broken and predictability of when it will be fixed. RDMS Logistics™ automated parts request functionality ensures that parts are available where and when they are needed.

Difficult Environments - GRT has demonstrated expertise in design and development of data collection and management systems specifically for use in difficult and dangerous environments - Iraq and Afghanistan are indeed difficult and dangerous environments. Some of the considerations that went into developing a RDMS Logistics™ solution that is usable under such conditions include (1) low-bandwidth performance due to limited or interrupted data communications, (2) role-specific user interfaces that provide easier data entry and reporting, (3) feature-rich and data-rich reporting, (4) online user-training and user-staging environments, (5) staging scenario guides for new feature releases, and (6) concise deployment supporting documentation.

Tailored to Fit - Another consideration that goes into building a product designed to be used in difficult environments, such as Iraq and Afghanistan, is that the RDMS Logistics™ can be “tailored to fit while the customer is wearing it”. Speed is of the essence. As such, RDMS Logistics™ can be deployed to provide value before implementation of all of the major features is completed. To accomplish this, end-users have a direct line to GRT project management and are able to influence development with their real workflows and priorities. Similarly, support staff have direct access to the development team not only for problem resolution but also for prioritizing software changes that will improve the end-users’ experience most directly.

Remote Device Management - Mobile devices are automatically registered with RDMS Logistics™ when the RDMS Collect™ software is installed on the device. This includes the ability to edit device information or disable a RDMS Collect™ device remotely, thereby restricting the device from sharing data with the Collaboration Center.

Emergency Alerts - Send and receive special alerts with GPS coordinates that identify an emergency situation or other urgent information with the ability to display all alerts in one-click atop maps and satellite imagery.

Manage User Privileges and Accounts - RDMS Collaborate™ allows you to manage user privileges and accounts with the ability to manage user access, privileges, report sharing, and account information along with auditing through security logs.
